Before you use commands
In browser Minecraft environments, command support depends on your world settings, permissions, and whether the server uses plugins. If a command does not work, check version support and permission settings first.
- In single-player worlds, make sure cheats or admin permissions are enabled.
- On multiplayer servers, many commands come from plugins instead of the base game.
- Coordinates, names, and item counts should be replaced with your real values.
Most useful survival commands
/gamemode survival: switch to survival mode./gamemode creative: switch to creative mode for building or testing./time set day: change the world time to daytime./weather clear: remove rain or snow./give @p bread 64: give yourself 64 bread./tp @p 0 64 0: teleport to a chosen coordinate.
Common plugin server commands
Economy, RPG, and claim servers often use plugins, so some commands below are server-side plugin commands rather than vanilla Minecraft commands.
/res create name: create a private claim./res tp name: teleport to your claim./bal: check your current money balance./pay player amount: pay money to another player./warp shop: teleport to a public server location.
Common mistakes
- Using plugin commands on a server that does not have the required plugin.
- Using the wrong coordinate or spacing format.
- Trying admin-only commands without enough permission.
- Copying commands with extra spaces or broken symbols on mobile devices.
